InterAmerican Coffee is a leading coffee import business, connecting roasters with the finest coffees from around the world. Building on our established presence in Sydney, we are expanding our trading operations across Victoria and other key territories, supporting customers and contributing to the success of Australia's dynamic coffee industry.

Job Description:

Employment Type: Full-time, 38-hour work week (Monday to Friday)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 day working remote)

Experience Level: Junior (1–3 years of relevant experience preferred)

The role is twofold. The maritime logistics aspect encompasses all tasks between cargo departure from origin and arrival in Australia, while the trade support role covers all purchase and sales contract entries, including certification compliance.

Shipping Documents: Collect and check all required import documents from suppliers

Shipping Instructions: Manage the issuance of manual shipping instructions to suppliers who do not use the Ocean Freight Management (OFM) system.

Shipment Traceability: Ensure products are accurately documented via ICO Identification (or otherwise equivalent), from documentation to domestic warehousing, including Contract, Trade and Risk Management (CTRM) system & tracking systems.

Contract Entry: Add purchase contracts to the Shipping Tracker

Departure update: Update departure details in the OFM system

Container Tracking: Regularly review ETAs and communicate changes to the team

Labels & Unpack: Create product labels and unpack instructions, and send to warehouses

Carrier invoice check: Compare Sea freight invoices with contracted price

OFM System:



Develop familiarity with OFM system to ensure staff coverage ability

Trade Support: (6.5 hours per week)

Contract issuance: Receive and reviews the trade sheets from traders (purchases and sales), adds them to the CTRM system, issues the PDFs and create matching folders on the server

B/B Contract allocation: In the case of back-to-back business, allocates purchases to sales in the CTRM system

New Product Entries: Creates recent products in the CTRM system, inc. diff valuation

Compliance & others (2.5h per week)

Certifications: Responsible for ensuring that new purchases and sales processes comply with FT and RA certification requirements. This includes checking that suppliers and customers are certified, and recording purchases on the certifiers’ platforms

Your profile:

Strong prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural awareness and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Process-oriented mindset with an appreciation for structured work, consistency, and compliance with established procedures.

Candidates must possess full working rights in the country. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
