Design Group Australia is a leading specialist in commercial joinery and cabinetry, delivering high-quality projects across hospitality, retail, corporate, and custom design sectors. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tradesman Joiner/Cabinet Maker to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As a Tradesman Joiner / Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality joinery and cabinetry pieces from detailed drawings through to installation. You will work on a wide range of projects, ensuring accuracy, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that reflect our company’s reputation for excellence. Travel for installs will be required as all of our work is in pub and clubs throughout NSW.

Key Responsibilities

Reading and interpreting drawings and plans

Manufacturing joinery and cabinetry to a high standard

Operating panel saws, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently

Working with a variety of materials, including timber, veneers, laminates, and hardware

Assembling, finishing, and installing cabinetry and joinery on-site when required

Maintaining a clean,



safe, and organised workshop environment

Collaborating with other team members to deliver projects on time and to specification

Skills & Experience

Trade qualification in Cabinet Making / Joinery (Certificate III or equivalent)

Proven experience in a similar role

Strong technical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work from detailed shop drawings with precision

Experience with up-to-date joinery machinery and tools

Commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Current Truck MR Licence (advantage but not essential)

Forklift licence (advantage not essential)
