Senior Maintenance Technician - Roof Plumbing / Guttering Specialist $$$ Neg

We’re seeking an experienced Roof Plumber / Gutter Installer to join a well‑established and respected team specialising in residential roofing and guttering replacement solutions.

This is a hands‑on, full‑time permanent role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys problem‑solving, and is confident working across both technical and customer‑facing environments.

About the Role

You will play a key part in maintaining, repairing, and improving existing residential homes, with a strong focus on replacing ageing guttering and downpipes that have deteriorated over time.

This role is heavily focused on working across established homes (not new builds), removing old guttering and downpipes and installing new systems to a high standard.

Approximately 75% of your time will be on the tools, with additional responsibility supporting training, mentoring, and technical oversight of installers and subcontractors.

You'll primarily be working from the roof, safely and confidently, often without scaffolding, so strong experience and comfort working at heights is essential.
You’ll also work closely with experienced Operations Managers and provide support that could see you step into a fill‑in operational capacity when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Guttering and roof plumbing installation, replacement, and rectification work on existing residential homes
- Remove and replace old guttering and downpipes with new systems
- Diagnose and resolve waterproofing and roofing issues




- Work with continuous guttering, rolled‑on‑site systems, Fascia, Nuline, and Ogee profiles
- Support training, assessment, and mentoring of new installers and recruits
- Assist in maintaining completed contracts and warranty works
- Liaise with customers, contractors, and internal teams in a professional manner
- Work safely at heights and uphold strict WHS standards
- Report to Operations Team Managers and support long‑standing supervisory staff

About You

- Proven experience as a Roof Plumber with strong guttering expertise
- Strong background in residential replacement work (not new builds, commercial, or industrial)
- Experienced in removing and replacing guttering and downpipes on existing homes
- Confident working safely at heights, including from the roof without scaffolding
- Solid problem‑solving skills with solid waterproofing knowledge
- Great communication and people skills - able to motivate others and deal with customers
- "Can do" attitude and willingness to get hands‑on and get the job done
- Potential to grow into operational support responsibilities
- Team player who thrives in a practical, fast‑moving environment
