State Asphalts NSW Pty Ltd (SANSW), part of the Kypreos Group, is one of NSW's leading asphalt manufacturers, supplying high-quality asphalt and bituminous products to major road and infrastructure projects across the state.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Production Operator to join our manufacturing team based primarily at our St Marys facility. While the role has a solid focus on Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) production, you'll also gain exposure across our broader asphalt manufacturing operations, providing genuine opportunities to develop your skills and build a long-term career.

Production Operator - Asphalt Manufacturing (PMB Production Focus)

About the Role

This is a hands-on manufacturing and production role where safety, quality and teamwork are at the centre of everything we do.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Operating and monitoring PMB manufacturing and production processes
- Manufacturing bitumen and polymer modified bitumen products to specification
- Bulk material handling, warehouse operations and raw material management
- Sampling and quality control of bituminous products
- Coordinating tanker loading and dispatch activities
- Monitoring production equipment and reporting operational issues
- Assisting with preventative maintenance, plant cleaning and housekeeping
- Supporting asphalt plant operations as required
- Maintaining accurate production and operational records
- Working closely with production, maintenance, laboratory and transport teams




- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high safety and environmental standards

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing a quality product safely.

Ideally you'll have:

- Experience in manufacturing, production, process operations, asphalt, bitumen, quarry, concrete, chemical or industrial processing
- Experience operating fixed plant or production equipment
- Forklift Licence or VOC (desirable)
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and resolve basic operational issues
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills

- A willingness to work rotating day and night shifts
- The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol assessment

Experience in PMB or asphalt manufacturing is highly regarded, however full training will be provided to the right applicant with the right attitude.
