Main Function of Position
As part of our boat-building team, this role is responsible for fibreglass repairs, builds and rebuilds. Working closely with all areas of the business you will construct, fit-out, commission and repair all types of vessels; including, recreational, competitive, and commercial. The selected candidate will work on a range of exciting and innovative projects both on and off-site.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Complete a range of GRP repairs, builds and repairs
- Structural laminating.
- Chop strand gun operation
- Composite fabrication. Including infusion, injection moulding, moulding/ tooling and prepreg composite processes.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other contractors.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience with an applicable industry
- Shipwright or fibreglass laminator qualification
