THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our operations team working in a remote FRP infrastructure project in NSW on a 2/1 FIFO roster. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes across the project.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil construction quality systems who is passionate about continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality documentation.
- Conduct inspections and verify works comply with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
- Coordinate and manage quality inspections with the client
- Review and maintain material certifications, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Perform internal quality audits and support external client audits.
- Ensure document control is maintained throughout project delivery.
- Work closely with project teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineer or Site Engineer with a Civil contractor - A must
- Previous site experience working on a large scale FRP/Tunnel/Concrete infrastructure project - Highly desirable
- Experience preparing ITPs, quality plans, inspection reports, and project quality documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
