Job Description
As our Event Producer (Editorial Experiences), you will play a pivotal role in transforming editorial concepts into premium, content-led live experiences across Nine’s iconic publishing brands like The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and Good Food.
Working closely with Editorial, Creative, and Commercial teams, you will blend creative vision with operational precision to elevate our audience journeys and bring live journalism to life!
Day to day you will:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, production, and execution of premium live experiences, conferences, and consumer events.
- Collaborate closely with Editorial teams and the Experiential Event Curator to shape content programming, event flow, and speaker lineups.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue relationships, AV, staging, catering, accessibility, and production schedules.
- Partner with Commercial teams to seamlessly integrate partner and sponsorship commitments without compromising the attendee experience.
- Develop and manage comprehensive event budgets from forecasting through to post-event financial reconciliation.
- Lead onsite event operations to ensure smooth execution, proactive risk management, and high-quality audience engagement.
- Conduct post-event debriefs and performance analyses to continuously innovate and elevate future live experiences.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience producing high-profile conferences, consumer events, business functions, or cultural live experiences.
- Proven experience collaborating directly with editorial, content, or creative programming teams.
- Experience working with guest registration and ticket management.
- Robust commercial acumen with a track record of successfully integrating sponsorship requirements into event experiences.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage complex timelines, suppliers, and competing priorities concurrently.
- Comprehensive budget management experience, including forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and post-event reconciliation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence outcomes and contribute ideas.
- Tech-savviness with proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and event platforms such as Humanitix, Monday.com, or SAP.
