The Industrial team work directly with customers to deliver tailored solutions and technical expertise. As our Industrial business continues to grow across Australia and New Zealand, we're looking for a talented skilled to join our team and support the successful deployment of our industry-leading Automated Tool Control (ATC) systems.
What You'll be Doing
As the Industrial Systems Technical Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing technical expertise across systems, installation, commissioning, training and ongoing support to our customer base as well as acting as the key interface between product engineering, sales teams and end user customers to ensure systems are delivered, maintained and supported to the highest operational standard.
- Install, configure and commission Level 5 Automated Tool Control (ATC) systems at customer sites.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections, testing and quality assurance to ensure systems are ready for customer handover.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, warranty repairs and preventative maintenance for installed ATC systems.
- Deliver customer training and support the successful adoption and ongoing optimisation of ATC systems.
- Work closely with Snap-on's global Engineering and Industrial teams to provide technical feedback and support product improvements.
- Support product demonstrations, trade shows and customer presentations as the technical subject matter expert.
- Gather market intelligence on customer requirements, competitor products and emerging technologies.
- Manage demonstration equipment, training assets and technical inventory.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with Snap-on's health, safety and environmental standards.
- Travel throughout Australia and occasionally internationally to support customer installations, service and training.
What You'll Need
- A trade qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical disciplines, or equivalent technical qualification.
- 3-5 years' experience in a technical support, field service, installation or commissioning role within the industrial, automotive or technology sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and computer-based systems, with experience supporting software-driven or networked equipment.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and system issues.
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills, with experience delivering technical training and support.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities and build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- A current driver's licence and the ability to obtain a Restricted Electrical Licence.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Australia (approximately 50%) and occasionally internationally.
