Job Description

IT Desktop Support position available within SQS Group in all states, work assignment may either be in NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, or WA. In Victoria: Surdex Steel, Smithweld Bending, KOMO Metform Engineering, Alliance Laser, Surdex Sheet & Coil, Eliott Engineering, Australian Rollforming Manufacturers. In SA: Brice Metals, Ferrocut. In WA: WA Cutting Services, Boyd Metal Industries.

Main Objective

- To provide 1st and 2nd level IT helpdesk support on all end user equipment and systems for all users across the business.

Duties

- Providing 1st/2nd level telephone and customer-facing support for initial fault diagnosis.
- The creation and deletion of new users across all internal systems.
- Setup of all new mobile/tablet devices.
- Install, configure and maintain network devices including but not restricted to PCs, Printers, Print Servers, Terminal Servers, Switches and application software.
- Hardware relocations and re-configurations (eg. PCs and telephones).
- Monitoring and reporting on hardware, software and network resources to ensure a high level of performance, security and integrity.
- Assisting with the administration and support of the local area network, servers and printing facilities.




- Work within strict time frames and elevate incidents within defined timeframes.
- Creating, managing and supporting SOE builds for Desktop and Laptop PC’s.
- Maintain a valuable working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends.

Skills and Knowledge Required

- Windows 7/10/11, Windows Server 2008/2012R2/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, etc)
- Experience with Windows, iPhone, Android phones
- Experience using a variety of PC software including the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, Windows servers and desktops, and anti-virus software
- Experience in security administration utilising active directory and group policy
- Knowledge and understanding of end user requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Strong customer service orientation
- A professional, reliable and team orientated approach to work
- MS HyperV/VMware
- Experience with remote software tools such as TeamViewer, LogMein
- Good understanding of Networking, TCP/IP and WiFi environments
- Knowledge of Linux/UNIX would be an advantage
- Experience with supporting HP SAN technology would be an advantage
- Experience with HP Server Products
- Understanding of Agile, Kanban methodologies

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
