Special Counsel – Construction Litigation (Back-End)

An opportunity has become available for an experienced construction litigation lawyer to join a well-established national firm with one of Brisbane’s strongest insurance and construction practices.
This role is suited to a Senior Associate ready to step into a Special Counsel position, or an existing Special Counsel looking for a long-term home with a genuine pathway to Partnership.
The Role
You will work on a broad range of back-end construction matters, including:
- Construction and infrastructure disputes
- Security of payment claims
- Defective works and contract disputes
- Professional indemnity matters involving construction professionals
- Large-scale litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
- Direct client contact and strategic file management
You will work closely with recognised leaders in the market while enjoying a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
About You
You will ideally have:
- 7+ years' PAE in construction litigation
- Strong experience managing complex disputes from commencement through to resolution
- Excellent drafting, advocacy and client relationship skills
- A commercial and practical approach to problem solving
- The ambition to continue building your profile and progress your career
