Overview of role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join our team at our Acacia Ridge manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in driving engineering excellence, maintenance reliability, safety performance, and continuous improvement across a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:

- Providing leadership and support for safe work practices and fostering a strong safety culture across the site.
- Leading and managing a team of Electricians and Mechanical Fitters across multiple shifts.
- Managing the site's repairs and maintenance budget and ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices.




- Driving preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Managing the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintenance planning processes.
- Coordinating and supervising external contractors, ensuring compliance with all site safety and quality requirements.
- Managing capital projects, including new equipment installation, plant upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facilities are maintained to required safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Maintaining site services, buildings, spare parts inventory, and engineering workshop standards.
- Supporting operational excellence, 5S initiatives, and site continuous improvement programs.
- Working collaboratively with site leadership, production teams, and the broader ANZ network to achieve business objectives.
- Managing engineering systems and procedures in line with GMP, HACCP, environmental, and safety requirements.

To be successful in this role you will ideally

- Hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline) or be Trade Qualified with significant relevant experience.




- Have a minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience in a Maintenance & Engineering Management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Have demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams in a unionised workplace.
- Have robust experience managing repairs and maintenance budgets, contractors, and capital projects.
- Possess sound knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Have experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably MEX or equivalent.
- Have experience with purchasing systems and spare parts inventory management.
- Be familiar with GMP, HACCP, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Have excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Be customer-focused, highly organised, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Demonstrate a hands-on approach with a passion for improving plant reliability and operational performance.
- Have strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Challenge the status quo and actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
