Position
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Technician/Commercial Electrician to join the Brisbane team. This is a hands-on role that will see you working across a variety of commercial projects, carrying out installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and programming of fire detection systems.
Responsibilities will include:
- Installing, testing, and maintaining fire detection and alarm systems.
- Programming and fault-finding on fire indicator panels including Ampac, Pertronic, and Notifier.
- Interpreting electrical drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with Australian Standards including AS 1670 and AS 1851.
- Working across commercial, healthcare, education, aged care,
and residential projects.
- Completing service documentation and maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician or licensed fire technician with experience working on commercial fire detection systems. You will be someone who takes pride in your work, communicates well on-site, and can work independently while delivering a high standard of workmanship.
The key attributes of an ideal candidate would include:
- QLD Electrical Licence or QBCC Fire Occupational Licence.
- Experience installing and maintaining commercial fire detection systems.
- Robust fault-finding and diagnostic skills across fire systems.
- Familiarity with Ampac, Pertronic, and Notifier panels.
- Ability to read plans and interpret technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and compliance requirements.
- Current manual driver's licence, White Card, and EWP licence.
