Legend Hire is an exciting and fast-growing plant & equipment hire business. We’re on the lookout for a motivated Truck Driver & Yard Support to join our team based at our Marsden Park branch, servicing projects across Sydney.
We’re also open to discussions with owner-operators who may wish to sell their truck and continue driving it with us under full time employment.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, all-rounder position that combines safe truck driving, customer service, and yard support. You’ll play a key role in delivering and collecting hire equipment, assisting in the yard, and ensuring our fleet and equipment are always presented to a high standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely deliver and collect hire equipment across local job sites.
- Operate a crane truck to load/unload equipment (CV Crane Licence desirable).
- Perform basic servicing, cleaning, and yard maintenance to keep gear hire-ready.
- Represent Legend Hire with professionalism and a customer-first approach.
- Support installation teams on site when required.
- Comply with WHS, fatigue management, and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a current MR or HR licence.
- Have excellent customer service skills and a professional manner.
- Be a team player who is happy to help out in the yard as well as on the road.
- Be physically fit and capable of manual handling (up to 20kg).
- Enjoy being part of an exciting start-up environment where no two days are the same.
- Experience in equipment hire, construction, or logistics is highly regarded.
- A forklift licence and/or crane truck operating experience will be an advantage.
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate $40-$48 per hour (dependent on experience & licences)
- Overtime available for additional earnings
