Bring Five-Star Service to a Place That Feels Like Home

Are you a hospitality leader from the premium hotel sector ready for a role with real purpose? Berlasco Court, ECCQ's boutique residential aged care community in Indooroopilly, is seeking a Hospitality Services Manager to bring the polish, warmth and attention to detail of 4-5 star hotel service to the daily lives of our residents.

Our residents come from richly diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and for them, Berlasco Court is home. We believe they deserve nothing less than the dining, housekeeping and personal service standards of a fine hotel - delivered with cultural understanding, dignity and genuine care.

About the Role

Reporting to the Residential Services Manager, you will lead all hospitality and environmental services at Berlasco Court, including food services and resident dining, housekeeping and cleaning services, and laundry operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows what exceptional service looks like - and can coach, train and inspire our hospitality and environmental services teams to deliver it every day. You will ensure services are safe, compliant and culturally responsive, aligned with the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, while elevating the resident experience to a standard our residents and their families can be proud of.

Key Responsibilities

Dining Experience and Food Services

- Lead the planning and delivery of a hotel-quality dining experience - from menu design and meal presentation to table service and dining room ambience.
- Develop seasonal, culturally diverse menus that reflect residents’ heritage cuisines, dietary needs, religious requirements and personal preferences.
- Celebrate cultural festivals, traditions and special occasions through food and dining events.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety legislation and food safety management systems.
- Partner with residents, families and clinical teams to support nutrition, wellbeing and choice.
- Champion resident voice through food forums, tastings and feedback programs.

Environmental Services

- Lead housekeeping,

cleaning and laundry operations to a standard of presentation you would expect in a premium hotel - immaculate, welcoming and consistent.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control requirements.
- Instil respectful, careful handling of residents’ personal belongings, garments and cultural items.

Service Excellence, Training and Leadership

- Bring a guest-experience mindset to aged care - anticipating needs, personalising service and creating memorable daily moments for residents and visitors.
- Design and deliver customer service training that lifts our hospitality and environmental services teams to a five-star standard of courtesy, presentation and pride in service.
- Lead, mentor and develop team members across kitchen, housekeeping and laundry.
- Manage recruitment, rostering, performance and professional development.
- Foster an inclusive, culturally safe and high-performing team culture that reflects the diversity of our residents and workforce.

Quality, Compliance and Continuous Improvement

- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024 and Strengthened Quality Standards.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and reporting.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives that enhance the resident experience.
- Monitor service performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.

Budget and Resource Management

- Manage hospitality and environmental services budgets, food costs and operational expenditure.
- Monitor supplier performance and procurement activities.
- Improve efficiency without ever compromising service quality.

About You

You may currently be leading food and beverage, housekeeping or hotel services in a 4-5 star hotel, resort or premium venue - or managing hospitality services in aged care or healthcare with a passion for raising the bar. Either way, you understand that great service is about people: noticing the details, honouring individual preferences, and making every person feel valued.

You will bring:

- Minimum 3 years' experience managing hospitality operations - food and beverage, housekeeping, guest services or equivalent - within premium hotels, resorts, clubs, aged care or healthcare.
- A track record of delivering high-end customer service and coaching teams to that standard.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of food safety requirements; knowledge of nutrition and modified diets (or willingness to develop it quickly).
- Experience managing budgets, resources and service contracts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse audiences.
- Genuine commitment to person-centred, culturally inclusive service - and curiosity about the cultures, languages and traditions of the people you serve.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Food Service Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Queensland), or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current working rights in Australia.
- Up-to-date vaccinations as required under aged care legislation and ECCQ policy.

Desirable

- Degree in Hospitality Management, Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline.
- HACCP Training Certificate.
- Cultural competency training or experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
- Experience within a residential aged care environment.

Why Join ECCQ?

- Purpose you can see every day - your service standards directly enrich the lives of older people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Salary packaging: up to $15,900 of your income tax free, plus $2,650 meal and entertainment benefits.
- A genuinely multicultural working setting where diversity is celebrated.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- A boutique, modern residence - the scale where your leadership is visible and your ideas are implemented.

ECCQ is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from people of all cultural backgrounds. Only shortlisted applicants may be contacted. No agencies please.
