AtMANAWISE Care, we're expanding our Residential Care services across Brisbane'sSouthside and are seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Workers to join our team inpermanent part-time roles. About the Role

You will provide support across our Brisbane Northside residential homes, with our current service located in North Lakes and exciting opportunities to assist in new homes as MANAWISE continues its expansion. As a Youth Worker, you’ll support young people facing complex challenges by providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. You’ll play a key role in helping them build resilience, develop life skills and create brighter futures.

Key Responsibilities

- Create a safe, stable, and supportive home environment for young people with complex needs.
- Build positive and professional relationships that foster trust, connection, and growth.
- Support young people through challenging behaviours and emotionally difficult situations.
- Apply trauma-informed practices to promote wellbeing, resilience, and positive outcomes.




- Encourage independence by helping young people develop practical life and social skills.
- Respond calmly and confidently to incidents, conflict, and crisis situations.
- Work collaboratively with the broader care team to implement individualised support plans.
- Maintain accurate and professional documentation, including case notes and incident reports.
- Model positive behaviors, healthy boundaries, and effective communication at all times.
- Contribute to a strong team culture through teamwork, reflection, and ongoing learning.
- Experience in Youth Work, Child Safety, or a related field
- Current, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence (open class)
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, or similar (or working towards it)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Current Paid Blue Card
- National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Ability to obtain LCS check
- Hope & Healing Module certificate (we can assist if needed)
