Position Overview

Smile Auto Care Pty Ltd is a trusted automotive repair and servicing business providing high-quality vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and mechanical repair services to customers across New South Wales. Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, Smile Auto Care Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to support its workshop operations.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks

The role is responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and scheduled servicing, ensuring vehicles are maintained to manufacturer specifications, and delivering high-quality workmanship while complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

- Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and perform repairs to engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering and other vehicle components.




- Repair or replace defective parts, conduct testing following repairs, and ensure all work meets industry standards and company quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate service records, prepare repair reports, and communicate vehicle faults and recommended repairs to customers in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop while complying with workplace health and safety procedures and contributing to effective daily workshop operations.

Qualifications and Skills Essential

- Relevant trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic or equivalent
- Minimum e years of relevant post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, diagnostics and repair techniques
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools effectively
- Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills

Desirable

- Experience servicing a wide range of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service

Salary

This is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package ranging from $79,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation for a minimum 38-hour work week.
