About the role
We are seeking general hands to be responsible for all stages of the chicken lifecycle as well as the buildings in which the birds are kept. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling of eggs, incubation, & hatching
- Care of chicks & birds
- Harvest birds for vaccine production
- Clean, decontaminate and maintenance of bird houses & equipment
- Record-keeping
Skills & experience
- Poultry experience (advantageous)
- Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role
- Ability to uphold a high standard of animal welfare and care
