Qualified Electrician (Junior–Mid Level)

BJP Laboratories is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Electrician to join our growing Maintenance Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or early-career electrician who is eager to develop their skills in a highly automated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will work alongside and be mentored by an experienced Senior Electrician, with structured onsite training provided across our production equipment, utilities, automation systems and GMP manufacturing processes.

About the Role
As part of our Maintenance Department, you will assist with maintaining and improving a wide variety of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment. Working closely with our Senior Electrician and Maintenance team, you will gain valuable hands‑on experience while contributing to equipment reliability, safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and plant expansions.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control system faults.
- Assist with automation and continuous improvement projects.
- Service and maintain electrical systems, motors, sensors and instrumentation.
- Upgrade and retrofit manufacturing equipment.
- Complete maintenance documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Work safely while complying with company WHS procedures.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
About You
We're looking for someone who has a positive attitude and enjoys learning.
You will ideally have:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
- Current Electrical Licence (or eligibility to obtain one).
- 0–10 years post-trade experience (manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential).
- Strong fault-finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Interest in industrial automation, instrumentation and manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- A reliable work ethic and positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport (public transport is limited).
