About the role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Employee Level II to join our team on a casual basis at our Port Kembla facility. This role is integral to our assembly and process work operations, contributing directly to the production of high-quality industrial products. You will support our manufacturing operations whilst demonstrating a commitment to safety and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What you'll be doing
Performing assembly and process work in line with company specifications and quality standards
Operating manufacturing equipment and machinery safely and effectively
Preparing materials and components for production processes
Carrying out quality inspections and testing procedures to ensure products meet required standards
Maintaining accurate records of production activities and work completed when required
Adhering to all health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
Supporting the manufacturing team to meet production targets and deadlines
Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members
What we're looking for
Proven experience in assembly, manufacturing or process work within an industrial environment is ideal, but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
Welding, Grinding and Cutting experience preferred
A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production techniques
Competency with hand tools and manufacturing equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
Ability to follow technical drawings, specifications and work instructions accurately
A genuine commitment to workplace health and safety practices
Good communication and teamwork skills
Physical capability to perform manual work and lift items regularly
Reliability and punctuality, particularly given the casual nature of the role
11. Previous experience with CrC60 wear plate or similar industrial materials (advantageous)
