About the Role

As a Technical Writer / Content Designer, you'll work closely with technical specialists, project teams and stakeholders to create engaging, accurate and user-focused content across a variety of digital and traditional platforms.

Your work will include:

- Developing technical publications from concept through to publication
- Conducting research to produce technically accurate, audience-focused content
- Creating publications, web content, eLearning material and other digital communications
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders throughout research, consultation and review phases
- Supporting communication campaigns and content promotion initiatives
- Ensuring all content aligns with organisational standards, accessibility requirements and strategic objectives
- Reviewing and editing technical content to ensure quality, consistency and usability
- Helping deliver content that supports real operational outcomes across Defence

About You





We're looking for someone who enjoys turning complex technical information into content that's clear, engaging and easy to understand.

You'll ideally bring:

- Proven experience in technical writing or content design
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Excellent research, editing and written communication abilities
- Experience creating content across multiple digital channels
- An understanding of content governance, publishing standards and accessibility
- The ability to review, edit and assure the quality of content before publication
- Experience with content management systems and digital publishing platforms
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative approach and genuine attention to detail
- A passion for producing high-quality work that makes an impact

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

- A current AGSVA NV2 or TSPV Security Clearance
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing, content design or technical communications
- Strong research, stakeholder engagement and communication skillsThe ability to work onsite within a secure government environment
- Australian Citizenship
