APG Workforce are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer for a contract chance with Richmond Valley Council, based in Casino NSW.
This role plays a key part in ensuring a coordinated and consistent approach to procurement, supporting the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services for Council operations.
Location: Casino, NSW
Contract:Contract through to June 2027
Pay Rate: $50.13 – $57.00 per hour + super (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures for all goods and services
- Coordinate biannual stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records (TechOne system)
- Liaise with procurement bodies to achieve cost savings, sustainability, and risk reduction
- Support and deliver procurement training programs for staff
- Promote continuous improvement, probity, and compliance across procurement activities
- Maintain safe and efficient operations across Council works depots (Casino & Evans Head)
- Ensure procurement practices align with Council values and operational objectives
- Maintaining compliance across procurement processes within tight timeframes
- Driving improvements and efficiencies within procurement and stores operations
- Ensuring consistent supply of goods, including during emergency and natural disaster events
- Certificate IV in Procurement (or equivalent) OR minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Procurement experience within commercial or local government environments
- Budget development and administration
- Knowledge of plant disposal practices
- Understanding of local government tendering and procurement processes
