An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial finance leader to establish and lead a newly created Commercial Finance function within a growing financial services organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a high-profile leadership position responsible for driving financial planning, commercial performance, strategic decision support and executive reporting across a diversified business.

The role extends beyond traditional FP&A; and offers exposure to capital strategy, funding initiatives, investor communications and executive decision-making. Key Responsibilities

Commercial Finance Leadership

- Establish and lead the Commercial Finance function, including planning processes, governance and reporting frameworks.
- Build scalable budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning capabilities across multiple business units.
- Develop consistent KPI reporting, management dashboards and executive reporting packs.
- Continuously improve financial processes, reporting quality and commercial insights.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
- Deliver meaningful variance analysis and identify key business drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Develop financial models, scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide commercial analysis to improve business performance and profitability.

Strategic Business Partnering





- Partner closely with the CFO and Executive Leadership Team to support strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Provide commercial advice on investment decisions, funding strategies, pricing and business performance.
- Support capital allocation and long‑term strategic planning.
- Prepare high‑quality analysis and recommendations to support executive decision‑making.

Investor & Capital Markets Support

- Assist in the preparation of Board papers, investor presentations and external financial communications.
- Support capital raising initiatives and funding discussions.
- Contribute to the development of financial messaging for institutional stakeholders and funding partners.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor performance and broader market developments.
- Enhance management reporting through automation, improved analytics and dashboard development.
- Partner with Finance, Treasury, Operations and Technology teams to improve reporting accuracy and data quality.
- Develop scalable processes and controls to support a growing organisation.

About You

You are an experienced commercial finance leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for partnering with senior stakeholders to drive business performance.

You are equally comfortable building sophisticated financial models,



presenting insights to executives and influencing commercial outcomes across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

- CA or CPA qualified.
- Significant experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A; or Strategic Finance within financial services or a similarly complex environment.
- Strong understanding of funding structures, capital management and financial performance drivers.
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership through commercial analysis and strategic decision support.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capability.
- Experience preparing Board and executive‑level reporting.
- Highly regarded experience includes:
- Non-bank lending, funds management, banking or broader financial services.
- Securitisation, structured finance or institutional funding.
- Investor relations or capital markets exposure.
- Experience implementing or improving FP&A; systems and reporting tools.
- Building and leading high‑performing finance teams.
