We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join the team at Avalon Physiotherapy Centre on a part-time basis. Based in Avalon Beach, NSW 2107, this position offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst providing high-quality physiotherapy services to our diverse patient population. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their overall physical function and quality of life. This role is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional rehabilitation and physiotherapy services to the local community.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to evaluate patient mobility, strength, pain levels and functional limitations
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and rehabilitation goals
- Delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy and functional training
- Educating patients on injury prevention, posture, ergonomics and self-management strategies to support long-term recovery
- Monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed and maintaining detailed clinical records
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic treatment environment in accordance with relevant health and safety standards
- Contributing to the professional development and positive team culture at the Centre
What we're looking for
- A current qualification in Physiotherapy from an accredited tertiary institution (Australian Bachelor's degree or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and membership with AHPRA
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and evidence-based physiotherapy practices
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans
- Proficiency in a range of physiotherapy techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and electrotherapy modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with colleagues
- A patient-centred approach with genuine empathy and commitment to promoting patient wellbeing
- Sound organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Flexibility and reliability in meeting casual work scheduling requirements
- Experience in musculoskeletal, sports, neurological or general physiotherapy is advantageous
