About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join the Blue Tongue Adventure Youth & Young Adult Disability Support Program in Wynnum. This role supports adolescents and young adults with disability through structured programs, community participation and centre based activities.

This role focuses on delivering structured activities, supporting participant engagement and providing direct support in both centre based and community environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Support adolescents and young adults with disability to participate in structured programs and activities

- Build meaningful connections with participants and their support networks
Provide direct support in centre based and community settings

- Encourage independence, confidence and social participation
Deliver support in line with participant plans and program guidelines

- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational requirements

- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver safe and engaging programs

What We’re Looking For





- Experience working with young people and or individuals with disability - Essential

- Experience working in day programs or supporting with events

- A positive and enthusiastic approach when supporting customers

- High level of emotional intelligence and ability to respond to individual needs with empathy and professionalism

- Strong communication and relationship building skills

- Availability Monday to Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm, with some Friday and Saturday nights

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment

- Reliable transport and full comprehensive insurance to travel as required with customers.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar (preferred)

- Experience in disability, aged care, transitional care or residential support

- Current First Aid & CPR

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

- Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence

- Strong documentation and computer skills

- Availability across a rotating roster, including weekends and sleepovers where required
