About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Storeperson to join our Northgate team.
This is a hands-on role involving warehouse operations, inventory management, dispatch, forklift operation, and light machinery use. A significant part of the role involves operating a high-reach forklift within racking systems, making current high-reach experience essential.
Please note: A current Forklift Licence (LF) and proven high-reach forklift experience are mandatory requirements for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time
- Receive, check and put away incoming stock
- Replenish warehouse stock locations
- Safely operate forklifts, including high-reach forklifts
- Load and unload trucks
- Operate light machinery used in the preparation of customer orders
- Measure and chop picture frame moulding to customer specifications as part of our pre-production Chop Service
- Conduct stocktakes and assist with inventory control
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Proven high-reach forklift operating experience
- Previous warehouse/storeperson experience
- Experience working with warehouse racking systems
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks
- Reliable, self-motivated and team oriented
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Desirable
- Experience operating light manufacturing or warehouse machinery
- Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems
- Previous experience in a timber, framing, manufacturing or production environment
