At Gateway Marine Shipwrights, you’ll be working across composite and timber maintenance, alterations, construction and full vessel refits. Our jobs range from luxurious superyachts to government vessels, commercial craft and private pleasure boats from Brisbane down to the Gold Coast.
If you like variety, practical hands‑on work and being part of a crew that values skill and reliability, you’ll fit in well. No two days are the same, and you’ll work on some impressive vessels while building your craft.
Qualifications & experience
Basic trade knowledge of power tools
Working with composite materials including fibre glass & carbon (preferred)
Working with timber (preferred)
Painting experience (preferred)
An interest in the marine industry

4 DAY WORK WEEK.
Minimum 38 Hrs Monday to Thursday with regular opportunities for overtime
The successful applicants will be involved in projects on all size vessels and projects, from pleasure craft to luxury super yachts in a motivated and friendly work workplace.
Pay well above award rates
Most of the work will be carried out on site at our Murarrie workshop or within the surrounding marine precincts, with occasional opportunities to travel interstate or overseas. Company vehicles are provided for work‑related travel.
This role is available for an immediate start. To be considered, you’ll need to be currently living within a reasonable distance of our Murarrie workshop.
