We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our team at Smart Engineering (QLD) Pty Ltd in Rocklea, Queensland. As a Boilermaker, you will play a crucial role in our full‑time, hands‑on operations, utilising your expertise to fabricate, install, and maintain a variety of metal structures and equipment.

What you'll be doing

- Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Use various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal components with high accuracy and precision
- Operate power tools and machinery, such as grinders, saws, and benders, to cut, shape, and form metal components
- Perform repairs on existing metal structures and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe workflow
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work performed

What we’re looking for

- Formal Boilermaking qualification or equivalent trade experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of boilermaking experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Basic welding tickets required for all welding activities




- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and technical specifications
- Experience operating power tools and machinery used in metal fabrication
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- A safety-focused mindset and the ability to work well in a team setting
