We have recently been awarded the prestigious high-profile contract to deliver the Opal Next Generation (ONG) Program for Transport NSW. The ONG Account Based Ticketing program seeks to upgrade the existing gates, poles and bus validator infrastructure, integrate advanced technologies, and significantly enhance user experience across various modes of NSW public transport. This program is set to run over15 years, withan initialdesign and build phase of 3 years through to the operation and maintenance phase which will continue for another10+ years.

The Role

We are looking for a Subcontractor Manager who is organised, commercially minded, and eager to develop their career within a major infrastructure project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with junior to mid-level experience in contracts, procurement, commercial administration or subcontract management who wants to gain exposure to a complex, long-term public transport program.

Working closely with our Commercial and Project teams, you will support the administration and management of subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring contractual compliance and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

In this role, you will be directly involved in:

- Supporting the preparation,



administration and management of subcontract agreements
- Coordinating subcontractor onboarding and maintaining contract documentation
- Monitoring subcontractor compliance with contractual and project requirements
- Assisting with contract variations, extensions and commercial correspondence
- Supporting procurement and tender activities where required
- Liaising with subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- Tracking subcontract performance, milestones and key deliverables
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting
- Assisting with contract administration throughout the project lifecycle
- Supporting the Commercial team with general contract management activities

About You

We are looking for someone with around 2–5 years of experience in subcontract management, contract administration, procurement or a similar commercial role.

- Experience in subcontract administration, contracts or procurement
- Previous experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering or major projects is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced project environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, collaborative and solution-focused approach
- Comfortable reviewing contractual documentation and following established commercial processes




- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Construction Management, Law or a related discipline are advantageous but not essential
