About the role
We are seeking experienced Early-Stage and Late-Stage Collections Specialists to join our client on a part-time or full-time basis. Flexible working arrangements are available to suit your lifestyle, with the option to work 5 days per week during school hours (including 2 days working from home) or 3 full days per week (including 1 day working from home).
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of consumer and commercial finance accounts to deliver positive customer and business outcomes while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Early Stage Duties
- Negotiate and monitor payment arrangements
- Identify hardship situations and apply appropriate solutions
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints with empathy and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records in line with policy, process, and compliance standards
Late Stage Duties
- Engage with customers to understand non-payment reasons and negotiate suitable outcomes
- Monitor repayment arrangements and follow up on broken commitments
- Assess hardship indicators and apply appropriate solutions in line with policy
- Support repossession and recovery escalation processes where required
- Contribute to arrears reduction, portfolio performance, and customer outcomes
Skills and Experience:
- Experience within collections, recoveries, or hardship, ideally in finance, banking, telco, or credit card environments
- Ability to manage difficult conversations professionally and empathetically
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Understanding of hardship, vulnerability, and responsible collection practices
- Understanding of relevant legislation such as NCCP, Privacy Act, and ASIC guidelines
