The Opportunity

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Distribution Manager to join our team based in Erskine Park. Reporting to the General Manager Group Operations, this role will oversee the distribution of our products locally within NSW, to our interstate branches and overseas. Managing 3 shifts and a total team of approx. 30 the primary focus for this role is to manage all warehousing & distribution activities including safety, order picking, replenishment, inventory management, transport and distribution at thedistribution centre.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring all safety, health and environment policies and procedures are adhered to as well as:

- Implementing Operational Standards which drive efficiency and costimprovements.
- Monitoring and reporting on key metrics and KPI’s such as DIFOT, inventory levels, stock control and fleet management.
- Maintaining structured inventory management processes, to ensure accurate demand forecasts & reliability of product supply.
- Focus on continually improving team productivity and asset utilisation.
- Utilisation of technology and software to improve operational performance.
- Mentoring and engaging the team to deliver on key business targets.
- Implementing development plans to foster team success and allow team members to fulfil their potential.
- Periodic and cyclical compliance, reporting and reviews.
- Warehouse logistics, safety and layout management.
- Ensure sufficient resources, including people and plant are available to accurately match resources to tasks, in an environment of fluctuating demand.
- Manage and complete all inventory functions to ensure stock on hand records are accurate.




- Schedule and coordinate daily transport with freight forwarders and transport companies; Track and trend Freight vendors performance against agreed KPIs.

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role you will be proactive, be passionate about safety and customer service and lead by example. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are hands on, and are solutions orientated to cope with the day-to-day operations, co-ordinating work in a safe and efficient manner. You will ideally have:

- 5 years’ Supply Chain operations experience, including logistics, inventory and warehousing operations.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related field preferred.
- High digital dexterity with working knowledge of Microsoft suite and ERP systems (D365, Allotrac or related systems will be looked upon favourably);
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to build trust with teams, through communication, care and leading by example.
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Agility to think quickly and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coach Team members in developing and exceeding KPI’s and targets.
- Strong knowledge of Transport Chain of Responsibility requirements and freight management processes.
- Ability to analyse departmental financial data to make strategic and tactical decisions.
- Ability to leadby example to introduce and influence change and collaboration.
