The Urban Development Institute of Australia (the Institute) is a national not-for-profit organisation representing the property development industry. Established in 1971, the Queensland office is the largest of the UDIA state bodies.

Our members are property development professionals and our business is about building communities. The Institute is made up of a head office in Brisbane, complemented by 13 regional branches around the state.

About you, and the role

As a crucial member of the events team, the Events Coordinator will deliver leading industry events.

Ultimately, we are looking for an organised, enthusiastic coordinator who has a passion for events, strong communication skills and an ability to multi task to achieve results.

Your aim is to be proactive and efficient to ensure the smooth running of our events through diligent administration, while embracing our valued members with an exemplary persona.

You will be responsible for a wide variety of event related tasks relating to daily administration, venue and supplier sourcing, participating in yearly events planning (including the preparation and management of set budgets), sourcing and liaising with speakers, and client relationships as well as coordinating events for our Professional Development program. Experience with Award Force, or Stova will be highly regarded.

Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Experience in a similar role
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience in delivering a full Awards program will be a distinct advantage
- Experience using Award Force, or Stova or similar events management software
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM
- Excellent grammar and spelling, and possess excellent attention to detail
- Strong relationship management including the ability to interact with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage numerous events simultaneously founded on excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Experience in developing, managing and creating a range of event types
- Polished personal presentation, professional phone manner and etiquette
- Excellent sense of humour
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Flexibility in working hours with acceptance of out of hours work and regional travel
- Remuneration in line with evidence of skills and experience.
