Queensland Towing and Recovery

Burpengary

Queensland Towing and Recovery – Burpengary QLD

You've built a career on turning up when it counts. So have we.

Queensland Towing and Recovery is a family‑owned towing and recovery business operating across North Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast. We run a modern tilt‑tray fleet, serve major commercial clients, and have built our reputation on doing the job properly every time.

We're growing and looking for experienced operators who want a long‑term home with a business that backs them.

The Role

This is a hands‑on operational role covering breakdowns, incidents, and transport jobs across South East Queensland. You'll be trusted with late‑model equipment and expected to represent the business to a professional standard, whether you're recovering a vehicle on the roadside at night or delivering fleet stock to a corporate customer.

What the day‑to‑day looks like

- Attending vehicle breakdowns and roadside incidents, often in live traffic environments

- Servicing corporate and fleet customers, including scheduled vehicle movements and deliveries

- Machinery and equipment transport and relocation across the region

- Load restraint, job documentation and clear communication with dispatch and clients

- Keeping your truck presentable and mechanically sound, you'll be given good gear, and we expect it to be looked after

- Flexible rosters. We need people across weekdays, weekends and some night shifts, so we'll work out a roster that suits your availability. Full‑time days, weekend work or a mix, tell us what works for you.

Who we’re looking for

- MR licence minimum (HR well regarded)

- Experienced operators – this is not an entry‑level position.

- Calm and methodical under pressure, particularly around live traffic and incident scenes

- Professional presentation and communication – you'll deal directly with customers who are often having a bad day

- Reliable. If you say you'll be there, you're there

- Based anywhere from North Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast, with the Sunshine Coast preferred.

Ex‑emergency services and Defence Force personnel are strongly encouraged to apply. Former police, ambulance, fire, and ADF members bring the discipline and calm this work demands under pressure, and you'll recognise the standard we operate to. Towing experience helps, but we'll train the right person on the equipment - we can't train character.

Why Queensland Towing and Recovery

- Pay that reflects the work. $80k–$100k + super for full‑time salaried roles, or $35–$50/hr if you prefer an hourly casual arrangement.

- Up-to-date, well‑maintained fleet. Late‑model tilt trays. You won't be nursing tired equipment through a shift.

- A reputation worth protecting. Our commercial clients stay with us because we deliver. You'll be part of the reason why.

- Family‑owned and run by people who know the industry. Decisions get made quickly, you'll deal directly with the owners, and good work gets noticed.

- Stability. We're hiring for the long term. If you're looking for a business you can settle into and grow with, that's exactly what's on offer.

Applicants must hold a current MR (or higher) licence and be entitled to work in Australia.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a National Police Check.
