Rate: $58.06 + super
Duration: 8 June 2026 - 30 June 2026 (with potential for extension)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Waste Contracts and Projects Officer to support the delivery of waste management contracts and operational projects within a local government environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring effective contract performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across waste services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor waste-related contracts to ensure service delivery standards are met
- Support procurement processes in line with government policies and procedures
- Coordinate operational projects from planning through to delivery
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external contractors to resolve issuesPrepare reports,
documentation, and compliance updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within waste services
Key Skills & Experience
- Solid background in contract management within government or local council
- Experience in procurement processes and compliance requirements
- Proven ability in operational project management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
