OSHC Director | Lead a Thriving Service by the Coast

Brighton Primary School is seeking an inspiring Director to lead its highly regarded Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an established, community-focused service, with the autonomy to lead and innovate while working in close partnership with the School Leadership Team to provide continuity of care and support for children throughout their school day. Together, you’ll create a seamless, high-quality experience that strengthens children's wellbeing, learning and sense of belonging, while building strong relationships with families and the wider school community.

Supporting up to 120 children across Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care, you’ll play a key role in shaping children’s experiences while leading a passionate team within a welcoming school community just minutes from Adelaide’s stunning beaches.

About the Role

As Centre Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the service, ensuring the delivery of exceptional education and care while maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework and Child Protected Standards.

Reporting to the School Principal and Governing Council, you will:

- Lead and mentor a committed team of educators.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Drive continuous improvement through the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations and National Quality Standards.
- Promote a strong child-safe culture and best practice in safeguarding.
- Oversee staffing, rostering, budgeting and day-to-day operations.
- Build meaningful relationships with families, the school community and external stakeholders.
- Create engaging, inclusive and developmentally appropriate programs based My Time, Our Place.





About You

You are an experienced OSHC or education leader who is passionate about creating high-quality outcomes for children while supporting and developing educators.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated leadership experience within OSHC, Early Childhood Education or School Age Care.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and Child Safe Standards.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Experience in leading teams, mentoring staff and driving continuous improvement.
- Sound financial, administrative and operational management skills.
- A commitment to creating inclusive environments where every child feels safe, respected and valued.
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or relevant Degree in Children's Services, Early Childhood Education or Out of School Hours Care, or ACECQA appproved qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Completed RRHAN / Child Safe Environments
- Completed food handling certification and knowledge of food safety requirements
- Completed both Advanced Child Safety and Foundations of Child Safety Trainings
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety obligations.
- Knowledge of MYOB, is preferred but not essential.
