North Balgowlah Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a full-time or Part-time basis in North Balgowlah, NSW. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy, assisting pharmacists, and delivering outstanding service to our community. This position offers the chance to develop valuable experience in a healthcare setting and contribute to improving patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical products
- Managing pharmacy stock, including receiving, checking, and organising inventory to ensure medicines are readily available
- Processing prescriptions and inputting patient information accurately into pharmacy management systems
- Maintaining accurate records of dispensed medications and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Providing counter service to customers, offering advice on over-the-counter products under pharmacist supervision
- Handling customer inquiries and complaints professionally and escalating to the pharmacist where necessary
- Cleaning and maintaining pharmacy equipment and work areas to ensure hygiene and safety standards
- Supporting the implementation of health and safety procedures and participating in infection control practices
- Assisting with stocktaking and inventory management to minimise waste and optimise costs
- Helping to maintain a welcoming and organised pharmacy environment for customers

What we're looking for

- Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant certification or qualification (such as Certificate III in Pharmacy or equivalent) or willingness to undertake training
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers,



pharmacists and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing prescriptions, stock control and patient records
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in using pharmacy management software or willingness to learn
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following pharmacy regulations and legislation
- Customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting is advantageous
- Reliability and punctuality with a professional approach to wor
