The Macksville Country Club is a community focused Club offering a fully functioning bar and bistro to members and guests. The Club serves as the “Clubhouse” for multiple sports teams with function capability and ala carte dining. The Club is actively pursuing a strategy to increase its corporate and social function activity business.

The Club is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiredHead Chef to be responsible for the preparation of menus, running of events and input into the future direction of the bistro side of the Club’s business. Building on the Club’s reputation for consistently high quality meals, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their ability in developing amazing menus and running a vibrant and profitable kitchen to complement the Club’s overall strategy.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the key responsibilities include, but not be limited to;

- Developing menus for everyday meals, degustation opportunities and high class functions
- Recruitment, Induction, Training and Performance Managing all kitchen staff
- Liaising with stakeholders, including customers,



front of house staff and other key personnel
- Developing and working to budgets, including procurement and stocktaking procedures
- Maintaining the Club’s polices & WHS procedures
- Technical Advancement – Remain up to date on all industry developments
- Benchmark standards and supervise technical work such as food safety, cleaning routines, equipment maintenance and equipment operations.

Experience and qualifications for position

Required:

- Relevant Hospitality, Chef or otherwise trade or equivalent qualifications
- Appropriate Accreditation in Food Safe Handling
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS Legislative Requirements
