ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee the refurbishment of our Riverina project in Wagga Wagga.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering refurbishment projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors and trades, manage site resources, and maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and clients.
A key focus of this position is working within live environments, requiring a high level of professionalism, planning, and sensitivity to the needs of residents and operational staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction skilled looking to take the next step into project management within a supportive and growing business.
The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years’ experience in the construction industry, with a background as a Contract Administrator, Site Supervisor, Foreman, or Leading Hand, and a strong desire to progress into a Project Management role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise all on‑site activities, ensuring refurbishment work is completed on schedule and to a high standard.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour to ensure a seamless workflow and timely project completion.
- Oversee health, safety, and compliance standards on site, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and proactively identify potential issues.
- Liaise directly with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to provide progress updates and address any concerns.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are used efficiently and appropriately.
- Keep the project on schedule and proactively resolve any delays or quality risks.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and workers on site.
- Manage site documentation, including daily site diaries, risk assessments, and compliance reports.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability standards throughout the project.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in a Site Supervisor, Foreman, Construction Manager, or similar role within the construction industry
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects in aged care and/or commercial fit‑out environments
- Trade qualification and or Builder License (highly regarded)
- Certificate IV in Building & Construction, Diploma of Building & Construction, or a similar relevant qualification
- Strong understanding of construction processes, including quality assurance, safety, and compliance.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations specific to aged care and retirement living.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day project operations.
- Solid knowledge of WHS (Work Health & Safety) standards.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Australian work rights
- Valid driver’s licence
- Fully COVID-19 vaccinated
- Willingness to receive annual flu vaccinations
- Ability to obtain a Police Clearance, WWAC, and WWCC
- Construction White Card
