dFENCE Security Fencing Pty Ltd is a rapidly growing Queensland-owned fencing contractor specialising in commercial, industrial, government, education, infrastructure, and residential fencing projects throughout South East Queensland.

Based in Stapylton, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects across the region.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with our Construction Managers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Directors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and financial performance of projects from commencement through to completion.

Planning & Coordination

- Develop, manage, and monitor project schedules to ensure key milestones and completion dates are achieved.

- Coordinate project activities across multiple sites to maintain productivity and minimise delays.

- Manage the allocation of materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labour resources to ensure projects operate efficiently.

- Monitor resource requirements and identify potential shortages or scheduling conflicts before they impact project delivery.

- Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities to interpret project requirements and facilitate successful project outcomes.

- Provide regular project status updates, forecasts, and progress reports to stakeholders.

- Facilitate project meetings and maintain effective communication between all project participants.

- Identify project risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.

Project Delivery

- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of works,



and contract documentation.

- Assist with project planning, procurement, and mobilisation activities.

- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure project requirements are met.

- Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress.

- Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

- Support quality assurance processes, inspections, and project documentation.

- Assist with tender handovers and project start-up activities.

Commercial Management

- Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

- Prepare and administer progress claims, variations, and project reporting.

- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.

- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

- Ensure contractual obligations and reporting requirements are met.

Safety & Compliance

- Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.

- Assist in the preparation and implementation of SWMS, ITPs, and project-specific safety documentation.

- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant legislation.

- Participate in site audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Site Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar construction role.





- Strong understanding of project delivery within the construction, civil, infrastructure, or fencing industries.

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Robust organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Current Driver's Licence.

- White Card.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

- Experience delivering commercial, infrastructure, government, or education projects.

- Knowledge of QBCC requirements and Queensland construction standards.

- Experience using project management, scheduling, or estimating software.
