Employment Type: Initial 3-month casual duration with the potential to move to permanent direct with client
Duties & responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to move and dispose of waste materials as required
- Sort materials (e.g. paper and plastic) and load into appropriate containers
- Assist with weighbridge operations, including basic computer use and communication
- Use radios and messaging platforms (e.g. WhatsApp) to communicate with the team
- Complete basic paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Operate equipment such as a baler when required
- Maintain clean work areas, including indoor and outdoor spaces
- Support safe, efficient site operations and deliver valuable customer service
Skills & experience
- Minimum 6 months’ forklift experience and current forklift licence
- Current driver’s licence (Class C – AUS / Class 1 – NZ minimum)
- Confident with basic computer use and communication tools
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated and able to follow instructions
- Experience using weighbridge software (desirable)
- Background in the waste management industry (desirable)
