The Opportunity

The HSE Advisor will report to the functional Head of Safety and support projects across the Central Coast and Hunter regions. Working closely with project leadership, you will ensure Health and Safety standards are met while fostering a proactive safety culture.

- Managing client and key regulatory stakeholder relationships.
- Leading site inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
- Investigating safety incidents and near misses, and developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Identifying and reporting risks and hazards, ensuring timely investigation and implementation of appropriate control measures.
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of WHS management systems.




- Identifying HSE training needs, and developing and facilitating project-based training programs, while maintaining the training register.
- Capturing, analysing, and reporting on incident trends, audit outcomes, and WHS performance data to support continuous improvement.

Your Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a Health and Safety role within the construction industry is required, with a track record of delivering commercial projects over $50M being highly regarded. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with the ability to advise and influence project leadership, subcontractors, and client representatives. Deep knowledge of WHSE legislation, risk management processes, and auditing practices will be relied upon. A minimum Certificate IV in WHS is required, with a Diploma or higher qualification highly regarded. An ICAM certification would also be advantageous.
