Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson / Yardsman to join our Yeppoon branch on a full-time basis. About the Role
As a Storeperson / Yardsman at Greensteel, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the yard and warehouse, ensuring steel products are handled, stored, and dispatched safely and efficiently. This is a hand-on role involving forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, order picking, and maintaining a clean and organised yard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload steel products safely and efficiently
- Pick, prepare, and check customer orders for dispatch
- Operate forklifts and yard equipment safely
- Assist with receiving and storing stock
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard and warehouse
- Conduct basic equipment checks and report faults or hazards
- Assist customers and drivers in the yard as required
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational targets
What We're Looking For
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Safety-focused with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Required Qualifications
- Current Forklift (LF) Licence
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Experience in warehousing, steel, manufacturing, or construction industries preferred but not essential
