Injection Moulding Operator / TA – Smithfield, NSW | Permanent Role

We're seeking a mechanically minded Injection Moulding Operator to join a long-established manufacturer in Smithfield. You'll work with modern equipment, receive ongoing training, and have the chance to progress into leadership roles within the business.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with injection moulding, blow moulding, machine setting, or production machinery experience who wants long‑term security and career growth.

The Role

Working closely with the Shift Foreman and production team, you'll be responsible for:





- Setting up and operating injection moulding machinery
- Machine changeovers and tooling adjustments
- Monitoring and adjusting process parameters
- Performing preventative maintenance and fault finding
- Managing moulds, tooling, and spare parts
- Completing quality checks and production records
- Supporting SOP development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining GMP, 5S, and WHS standards

You’ll be working across electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery, including modern injection moulding equipment.

What We're Looking For

- 1-3+ years operating injection moulding, blow moulding, or similar production machinery
- Experience setting machines and performing changeovers
- Understanding of manufacturing quality processes
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in GMP, 5S or SOP-driven environments

Requirements

- Strong communication skills
- Basic maths and record keeping ability
- Physically capable of handling raw materials (up to 25kg occasionally)
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
