THERAPEUTIC YOUTH WORKER

Campbelltown, Werrington & Penrith

Casual / Part-time / Full-time

Pegasus Care provides trauma-informed, therapeutic care to children and young people in Out-of-Home Care. Our work is grounded in safety, dignity and consistency, and we place strong emphasis on supporting our staff to deliver high-quality care in a structured and well-supervised environment.

We are currently seeking Therapeutic Youth Workers to support children and young people in Out-of-Home Care homes across Sydney.

About you

You are calm, emotionally steady and able to hold boundaries with warmth and consistency. You communicate clearly,



work well within a team and are open to feedback. You understand the importance of safety, predictability and therapeutic relationships in a secure OOHC environment.

- Minimum 6 months paid experience working in Out-of-Home Care.

Qualifications

- Minimum Certificate III, IV or Diploma of Community Services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of therapeutic, strengths-based and person-centred care
- ARC therapeutic model training (or willingness to complete)

Mandatory requirements (or willingness to obtain)

- NSW Working With Children Check
- National Police Check (less than 12 months)
- NSW Driver’s Licence
- First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Orientation Modules
- Australian working rights
- Two relevant referees

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a face-to-face interview. To support a smooth and efficient recruitment process, candidates will be required to bring original documentation to interview, including:

- Relevant qualifications and certifications
- Current National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
- NSW Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Three forms of valid identification
- Contact details for three skilled referees
