We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our Catering team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of the School's kitchen by maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment while assisting with general kitchen duties to ensure the efficient delivery of catering services across the School.

As a Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for dishwashing, cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas, assisting with deliveries and stock storage, supporting basic food preparation, and helping with the setup and pack down of catering functions and events. You will play an important role in maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards and contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.

This position is available on a casual basis and is based at our Senior Campus in Mowbray. Hours of work will be negotiated with the successful applicant and may include flexibility to work outside standard hours to support School functions and events.

Key Selection Criteria:

- Previous experience in cleaning, hospitality, catering or a commercial kitchen environment (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to undertake repetitive manual tasks and stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Current registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania), or be eligible for registration
- Current National Police History Record Check, or be willing to obtain
- HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting, or be willing to obtain
- HLTAID009 – Provide CPR, or be willing to obtain
