Procurement Specialist- Goods and services mining

Contract to 31/05/2027 | Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Working

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a leading global mining group to recruit an experienced Procurement specialist- Goods and services mining. In this role you will support the end-to-end procurement of goods and services for a remote site going through closure process. We are seeking a commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and delivers value through effective sourcing, contract management, and supplier engagement.

Key responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of goods and services, from demand planning through to contract award and supplier performance management;
- Partner closely with site-based stakeholders to understand operational requirements and develop fit-for-purpose sourcing strategies;
- Lead competitive sourcing events, commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract formation activities;
- Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and commercial outcomes to drive continuous improvement and value delivery;
- Provide procurement advice and guidance to operational teams while ensuring adherence to company policies,



governance requirements, and procurement standards;
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships that support secure, reliable, and cost-effective operations;
- Support contract administration, reporting, spend analysis, and procurement planning activities; and
- Identify opportunities to optimise cost, reduce risk, and improve supply chain resilience.

About you

- Demonstrated experience in procurement and contracts management across goods and services categories;
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and commercial risk management;
- Experience managing multiple procurement activities simultaneously within a complex operational environment;
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make sound commercial decisions;
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across site and corporate teams;
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously; and
- Experience with SAP or similar procurement systems would be advantageous.
