Senior Finance Business Partner - Control & Transformation
Infocus Wealth Management – Maroochydore QLD
Infocus is a national, strategic wealth business. We help financial advice businesses run, grow and scale through Australia's only truly end-to-end operating platform, bringing together advice, technology, investment solutions, platforms and business support capabilities. Our strategy is centred on growth, operational excellence, data-driven decision making and creating meaningful value for our Member Firms, Enterprise Partners and clients.
We pride ourselves on our excellent team culture, our commitment to quality financial advice and the opportunity we have to make a genuine difference in the lives of our clients. Our Head Office is uniquely positioned here on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, with our team of ~80 talented individuals across Australia in our various state offices.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As we enter the next phase of our growth journey, supported by significant investment in people, systems and operating capability, we are seeking a commercially minded finance leader to help transform and elevate our finance function. This is not a traditional Finance Business Partnering role.
Yes, you will own the integrity of the financials, lead statutory reporting, manage external audit and oversee taxation compliance, but equally important, you will help design the finance function we need for the next stage of growth.
You will play a central role in implementing new systems, redesigning processes, enhancing controls, building reporting capability and embedding finance as a strategic business partner across the organisation.
If you enjoy building, improving and creating rather than simply maintaining, this role offers a rare opportunity to leave a lasting impact by providing you the opportunity to:
Influence the future operating model of the business.
Lead meaningful transformation rather than incremental change.
Work closely with Executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
Build reporting and analytics capability from the ground up.
Develop broad commercial exposure across acquisitions, growth initiatives, product development and business performance.
Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where good ideas are embraced and ownership is encouraged.
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to help build something rather than simply inherit it.If you're excited by growth,
transformation and the opportunity to build a best-practice finance function within a rapidly evolving business, we'd love to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading the preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
Owning statutory financial statements and external audit management.
Managing technical accounting matters across a multi-entity group structure.
Coordinating company tax compliance obligations and working closely with external tax advisers.
Ensuring financial governance, compliance and reporting obligations are met accurately and on time.
Finance Transformation & Systems
Playing a leading role in the implementation of new finance systems and reporting platforms.
Designing scalable finance processes, controls and operating practices.
Overhauling month-end and balance sheet reconciliation disciplines.
Building a fit-for-purpose chart of accounts that supports increasingly sophisticated reporting requirements.
Driving automation and reducing manual effort across the finance function.
Reporting, Analytics & Business Insight
Developing meaningful management reporting across Group, division, entity, product and client dimensions.
Building dashboards and performance reporting that support better decision-making.
Turning financial and operational data into commercially relevant insights.
Supporting business leaders with forward-looking analysis rather than simply historical reporting.
Business Partnering & Strategic Support
Working alongside executive leaders to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.
Contributing to annual operating plans, budgeting and forecasting processes.
Supporting commercial decision making through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Providing insight to support pricing decisions, product development and growth opportunities.

Assisting with acquisition analysis, integration activities and strategic projects.
Industry & Client Insights
Supporting the development of benchmarking and analytical capabilities that create value for advisers and partner firms.
Translating financial and operational data into practical recommendations that improve business performance.
