Job Position : System Analyst Location: Parramatta NSW 2150 Company: Discount Building Material Pty Ltd Salary: $79,000 – $89,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent About Us Discount Building Material Pty Ltd, located in Parramatta NSW 2150, is an Australian technology-driven building materials platform connecting leading manufacturers with a nationwide network of resellers.

Key Duties

- Consult with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements for ICT solutions.
- Review existing information systems, business processes, and workflows to identify opportunities for improved functionality, efficiency, and performance.
- Prepare functional specifications, process models, workflow diagrams, and technical documentation to support system development and implementation.
- Evaluate and recommend system enhancements and ICT solutions that align with business objectives and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and external service providers throughout the design, development, and implementation of business systems.
- Coordinate system testing activities, validate business requirements, and ensure implemented solutions satisfy functional and operational expectations.
- Monitor system performance, investigate system issues, and recommend continuous improvements to optimise reliability and business outcomes.




- Develop user documentation, provide implementation support, and assist with user training to promote effective adoption of new and enhanced systems.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant post-qualification experience in systems analysis, business analysis, information systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing business requirements, evaluating ICT systems, preparing functional specifications, and supporting the delivery of system solutions.
- Sound knowledge of systems analysis methodologies, business process modelling, systems integration, software development life cycle (SDLC), and system testing practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
