Kitchen Bathroom Home Innovations is seeking an experienced Draftsman / Check Measurer to join our team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.

This is a full-time position based on-site at our Burleigh Heads QLD 4220 office/factory. In this role, you will be responsible for converting client requirements and site measurements into accurate technical drawings and specifications. You will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between our clients' vision and our manufacturing and installation teams, ensuring that every project is precisely documented and ready for execution.

Key responsibilities

- Visit client homes and conduct accurate on-site measurements for kitchens, bathrooms and home improvement projects, paying meticulous attention to detail and identifying potential challenges
- Liaise with clients to clarify specifications, discuss and provide design options and confirm measurements
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and CAD plans using Cabinet Vision softwarebased on client specifications and site measurements. Ready for factory production.
- Communicate effectively with production and installation teams to ensure all drawings are clear and ready for execution
- Maintain accurate records of all measurements, drawings and project documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement in measurement and drawing processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience as a draftsman or check measurer, preferably within the kitchen, bathroom or home improvement industry
- Proficiency in CAD / Cabinet Vision software and design tools used within the carpentry and cabinet making sector




- Robust attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve measurement and drawing inaccuracies
- Excellent communication and presentation with the ability to work collaboratively across design, production and installation teams
- Solid understanding of building codes, industry standards and technical specifications relevant to kitchens and bathrooms
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Physical capability to conduct on-site measurements and navigate various environments
- Reliable problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality assurance
- A current driver's license
