Delta Wreckers PTY LTD is hiring a Full time Workshop Manager role in Sherwood, QLD.

Delta Wreckers Pty Ltd is an established Queensland-based automotive recycling and vehicle dismantling business specialising in the acquisition, dismantling, recycling, export, and sale of quality used automotive parts and components. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to oversee workshop operations, staff performance, inventory management, compliance, and operational efficiency.

- Expected salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

Position Overview

The Workshop Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the workshop, vehicle dismantling activities, parts inventory management, and export operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring workplace safety, operational efficiency, quality control, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organise, and supervise daily workshop and vehicle dismantling operations.

- Manage and coordinate workshop employees, dismantlers, parts interpreters, yard staff, and contractors.

- Oversee vehicle assessment, dismantling schedules, parts recovery, storage and inventory management processes.

- Monitor workshop productivity, operational performance, and workflow efficiency.

- Coordinate procurement, stock control, and inventory systems to ensure parts availability and accuracy.

- Manage the sale, distribution, and dispatch of recycled automotive parts to domestic and international customers.

- Oversee export operations for used automotive parts, including freight coordination, export documentation, customs requirements, and logistics management.





- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and company procedures.

- Liaise with customers, suppliers, freight companies, mechanics, transport operators, and regulatory authorities.

- Coordinate maintenance and servicing of workshop equipment, machinery, forklifts, and company vehicles.

- Investigate operational issues, workplace incidents, equipment failures, and customer complaints and implement corrective actions.

- Prepare operational, inventory, compliance, maintenance and performance reports for management.

- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, workforce planning, and cost-control initiatives.

- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity, customer service, operational performance, and profitability.

Skills and Experience

- Diploma or higher qualification in Automotive Management, Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

- Minimum two years of relevant management or supervisory experience in an automotive, vehicle dismantling, recycling, logistics or workshop workplace.

- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle dismantling processes, workshop operations and inventory management.

- Experience managing export processes for used automotive parts, including freight logistics, export documentation, and international shipping requirements, will be highly regarded.

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and operational compliance.

- Excellent organisational, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in inventory management systems, reporting software and Microsoft Office applications.

- Current Australian Driver Licence.
