About the opportunity
- As the Finance Officer you will be supporting the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function of the organisation. Success in this role will require you to build a robust understanding of internal Finance policies and apply this knowledge to key tasks. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate client billing including Direct debit on a fortnightly basis.
- Assist in client billing and accounts receivable including invoicing and collection.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports and reconciliations, as required.
- Provide support to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team.
- Process supplier invoices utilising ProSpend (Expense Management System).
- Process monthly Cardholder Reconciliations for Corporate Card transactions via ProSpend.
- Interpret internal costing structure to accurately apply costing codes to expenses.
- Resolve invoices against supplier statements and internal operational reports.
- Liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders regarding queries.
- Ensure all bank transactions are recorded accurately and bank reconciliations are complete.
- Maintain financial files and records.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Senior Finance Manager or other members of the finance team.
- Maintain safe work practice in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Footprints policies.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated Experience processing accounts in a similar Finance role.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of CMS software such as Alayacare and accounting packages, such as SAP Business One.
- Capacity to exercise judgement, initiative, and work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work productively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office at an advanced level, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated understand and commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Knowledge of Aged Care and/ NDIS funding structures.
Requirements
- Current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or current Yellow Card and Blue Card.
